Thanksgiving

We went over the mountains to have Thanksgiving with the Garcias and what would you know - Cristy and I were wearing the SAME shirt! HA! Cristy and I made our very first thanksgiving meal without any help and I have to say it came out pretty well. We spent our other waking hours playing with Tory, playing games and downloading songs onto Cristy's new I-Pod which you can see was NOT an easy task!

Tory's dedication

At the end of October, we got to go over the pass and see Tori Garcia's dedication! It was nice to be able to be there to represent the family!! Here are some picts. Unfortunately, it was a mass dedication so I didnt get any good pictures of the Garcia's during the dedication - the microphone was passed quickly from one family to the next and there were about 20! But all the after pictures are great!

Third Day Concert

This concert was so awesome. Not only did we get to see Third Day but we also got to see the David Crowder Band! It was Paul's first concert so he was mega excited. It was nice to be surrounded by people who were Christians too, we all got to sing with Third Day and sing praises to God! :-)

The Anniversary Trip

I know Paul took me out to dinner - BUT Paul does so much better than just a little dinner. He decided to take to the Copan Ruins in Guatemala. It was so nice to get away and just spend at little time together. We rode the bike up to Copan through all the windy mountains. It was so beautiful. We also went to the Copan Ruins and went on a ZipLine tour. It was the coolest to be THAT high up flying in the sky!

It took a couple of tries to get this shot. Paul was still driving and I was trying to hold on & position the camera perfectly! But here it is - our moving couples photo at 50 mph!

Here are a few pictures I took on the bike throughout Honduras:

The Anniversary Trip part 2

On our way in we ran into this "little" slide. We watched this car get through so we thought that we could just run through their tire tracks without any mishap...good thing Paul is a good moto driver. We were almost dumped TWICE! Paul got most of damage...poor guy.

After a very long ride on the bike - we finally came to our place! "Yippeee!", we cried. After getting settled in we decided to go get something to eat - we were starved. We found a great place with the best Limonada - liked it so much I wanted to drink it two at a time!!!

The next day we were onto the ruins. Below are some picts of the ruins and the VERY colorful national bird of Honduras.

The Rain in El Salvador

The rain in El Salvador is like none I've never seen. It was sunny but you could watch the rain clouds slowly roll in. And the thunder and lightning was loud and bright. It was fun to watch so I thought that I would share.

Anniversary

For our anniversary we went out for dinner in San Salvador. It was nice to get away and just hang out together and talk. We went to a really nice Italian restaurant. We were the only ones in the whole restaurant - so needless to say, we got great service. I got Paul a carving that made me think of us and Paul got me some beautiful pearl earrings! Whatta guy!

Panajachel

Well, you knew they were coming...and duh-duh-duh! Here they are! The pictures from our El Salvador trip. Paul will be getting on later to add his Costa Rica pictures - in the meantime, here's El Salvador!!!

First are some more pictures from our trip to Panajachel, Guatemala. FUN! The first is of a little band at the school in Pana.

No trip to Pana is complete without making smores!

A cute picture of Jonathan, our little nephew, and some picts of some of the family going kayaking.

While we weren't running around town buying stuff or kayaking or playing games inside - we were out enjoying the sun - showing off our talents. The first one is of Alysa, a family friend, showing off her talent and the second one is of Jonathan and his hacky skills.

THE trampoline

While down in El Salvador, the Simpsons got a trampoline. Who knew everyone would want their chance at it! Check it out!!
