Our little girl is growing up....*sniff* *sniff* I can't even believe that a year has gone by! From: 8lbs 13oz, 80th percentile TO 17lbs 15oz, 8th percentile 20.5 inches, 83rd percentile TO 29 inches, 18th percentile
She is such a cute little squirt and we are so blessed to have such a beautiful perfect daughter!
Kiera has never been one for being pushed around in her stroller but lately she says, "No more!". Now that her age is counted in years instead of months, she has officially deemed herself too old, no strike that, too mature for it. We now bring along the stoller for holding her stuff and our shopping bags. Below you can see Kiera taking control by pushing her stroller around for us. She also has her very first purse given to her by her Nana, which she carried everywhere carrying her favorite items: a pacifier and her Gerber Graduates.
Paul's parents sent Kiera a birthday present....and of course, it was motorcycle related! Kiera is only one and she already has her first motorcycle - okay, okay, so technically it is not a real motorcycle, but Kiera seems to like it and it seems to be just enough excitement for her!
Kiera's first Easter was too much fun! She received two Easter outfits so she was quite the fashionista. She wore the first one on our outing to a nice Easter brunch and for most of the day. Then when we had dinner at the Aunties she swapped over to her second outfit. She had a lot of fun searching for her eggs.
Kiera loves playing outside, no matter where. So, sometimes we go out front of the house and play in the yard. We have a great time - she wonders from flower to flower and then makes a mad dash for the stairs...I swear that she and ALL the stairs in the world are magnets for each other. They...must...play...together.
Here are a few photos right before and during her dash to the stairs. Isn't that little Pooh hoodie cute!?
Being that we will no longer be able to call ourselves "Seattle-ites" in approximately 2-1/2 months, we have decided to make sure we hit all the major sites in Seattle. With one little exception, we want our Seattle CHEAP! So, one fine day we found our way downtown and hit Pike Place Market - Kiera LOVED all the flowers. Before leaving we made sure to hit the first offical Starbucks, Paul even posed for VERY touristy photo. We also picked ourselves up some Moscows from the always busy Piroshky, Piroshky. A wonderfully sweet (but not too sweet) pastry made from cream of wheat of all things! Then we hopped in the car and made our way down to the Space Needle and got some great photos of Kiera and the Space Needle. She was not very impressed...she had more fun chasing the doggies, eat her banana (as Kiera says it: a - nahna), watching the squirrel eat our food and watching the other kids dodge being hit by the massive fountain (you can see it in most of the Space Needle photos). All in all a great day and we hit some biggies as far as Seattle Tourism is conserned....what shall we hit next?
