Graduation

Hip, hip, horray for my hubby! He is my diploma totin' hunka hubs! He is a picture of me and him at his graduation. It was quite a rainy mess but we got through it. Most of my pictures of him are with my 35mm so I will have to post those once I have developed them...man it seems a hassle now that we are basically digital!

Horray for Paul...now it's my turn

Hey all,

If you haven't already heard, Paul now has a temporary job for the summer. He got hired on to a temp agency and then hired on through the temp agency to a company name Deloitte. It is a great opportunity. The company is worldwide and world renown. The company is above reproach - they make all their new hires go through ethics training! Wow! Here is their website in case you wanna check it out: http://deloitte.com. So, Paul was hired on to work for about a month as a HR Generalist while they search for a permanent person. Well, after only two days of work - they decided that they love Paul SO MUCH, that even when they hire on the new person, Paul MUST stay for the rest of the summer...and even offered him a part time job during school! Way to go hubby!
So, now I guess it is my turn. I am not happy with my current job (mega stress and my role is becoming a sales role) and I believe that it is time to move on. I am currently interviewing at different companies which is mega stressful. I have to squeeze them in during my day, making my work hours somewhere in the range of 7am - 6pm. I am tired and just want to find something that I want to do and a company that is ethical and a bit more appreciative and understanding of the behind-the-scenes person.
Anyway, long story short...too late...horray for Paul. God totally answered that prayer! So, like always, we have a new one. Please pray for strength, endurance and a job for me.
Thanks again...We love you all!

Answered Prayers

Who would have thought that the answer to our prayers would be Paul going BACK to school. He has a great opportunity to basically go to graduate for little cost. Through the TA job Paul maintained throughout his undergrad schooling, he is able to go to school only having to pay for tuition fees and books. So, there you go, we asked for an answer to prayer and we got one. Not exactly the one we thought that we were going to get ~ we were looking forward to actually having a savings account, buying a home, and getting some babies! Oh, well, guess God must have something else in mind for us.

So, to all those who were praying for us - THANK YOU! The answer came swift and with a great peace.

Maybe one of these days Paul and I will do something interesting enough to put pictures up on the blog! Until then, we hope you don't tire of our writing.

THANKS AGAIN!

For all those reading this blog. :)

Hello all...

I come to you all, family and friends, and ask for your prayers. We are currently floating along in Seattle without direction. Paul has basically graduated (yippee!) and now looking for a job or wondering where to go next. There are many avenues that could take us in many different directions. Paul has three possible job opportunities that are floating out there at the companies: Blue Nile and PSE. If none of these opportunities pan out then we are hit with the questions of, "Are we supposed to stay here and tough it out?"; "Should we look to move out of Washington?"; "Should we go international?".

And to top it all off, just a few days ago Paul received a letter of acceptance into graduate school. So we just added new questions to the list, "Should Paul continue schooling and get his master's degree?"; "How will we pay for it?"; "How will this effect our want to have a family?"

To make a long story short (too late) we need MAJOR prayer for guidance, strength, humility, frugalness, discernment , faithfulness (and anything else you can think of) and on which way God would have us go. In our flesh, we are running out of patience, strength and money (in this city, it is easy to do).

We appreciate all of you and are so joyful that we have family and friends that we can ask to pray for us in our time of need.

LOVE YOU ALL!

Our New Place

Hey all! Here are some pictures of our new place - sans the furniture, of course! (I will post more once we are all unpacked.) Sorry it took a bit to get these up but you know how it is when you are moving! It is a two bedroom two bath place - brand new dishwasher, stove and HUGE refrigerator. It also has a great fireplace. We definately feel a little bit more grown up in this place rather than in student housing. Yipee!

Christmas Pictures

Okay, so I definitely took my time getting some pictures up! Here are some from our visit down to the sunny country of El Salvador. Where ALL the siblings of Paul got to meet up and have some massive fun....and we got to play with the new additions to our family - Tori & Reagan ! :) I LOVE THE BABIES! Enjoy! (p.s. these are totally random pictures throughout our vacation – sorry!)

Thanksgiving

We went over the mountains to have Thanksgiving with the Garcias and what would you know - Cristy and I were wearing the SAME shirt! HA! Cristy and I made our very first thanksgiving meal without any help and I have to say it came out pretty well. We spent our other waking hours playing with Tory, playing games and downloading songs onto Cristy's new I-Pod which you can see was NOT an easy task!

Tory's dedication

At the end of October, we got to go over the pass and see Tori Garcia's dedication! It was nice to be able to be there to represent the family!! Here are some picts. Unfortunately, it was a mass dedication so I didnt get any good pictures of the Garcia's during the dedication - the microphone was passed quickly from one family to the next and there were about 20! But all the after pictures are great!

Paul and I went to see our new little neice in the tri-cities. It was Paul's first introduction to Tory. Here are some picts.
